Attorney from the Santo Tomás University, Colombia, LL.M. from the University of Konstanz, Germany, and Specialist in Competition Law and Consumer Protection from the Sergio Arboleda University.

With over ten years of experience in intellectual property, he served as the Director of Trademarks at the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, where he also held positions related to the protection of industrial property in the Legal Advisory Office, the Office of the Deputy Superintendent for Industrial Property, and the International Affairs Group. He also acted as Deputy Superintendent for Industrial Property on multiple occasions. Additionally, he served as Vice President of the Working Group for the Legal Development of the Madrid System of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and as a member for Colombia in the ad hoc Andean Committee on Intellectual Property of the Andean Community.

He is currently a lecturer in the Intellectual Property Specialization program at Sergio Arboleda University and teaches the Industrial Property course in the Commercial Law Specialization program at Universidad de la Sabana, Colombia.

He is a member of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI).
